CODE OF CONDUCT

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Baraktu
 
Ibn Umar Code of Conduct
 
 
BEHAVIOUR:
Students are expected to conduct themselves with respect. This includes respecting the personal space, property, identity and opinion of staff and fellow students. There is a zero tolerance policy for physical, verbal or emotional violence of any kind.
 
 
PUNCTUALITY:
 
Students are expected to arrive at Markaz Ibn Umar on time and prepared to learn. Parents must pick up their children on time.
 
Devices:
 
Cell phones must be set on silent mode, in a backpack during classroom time and can only be accessed during break. Cell phones must be stored away during classroom time and during any tests that are administered throughout the centre. 
 
 
Apple Watches are not allowed to be used during class time and should be set on silent.
 
 
 
DRESS CODE:
 
Students are expected to dress in clean and Islamically appropriate clothing that covers the awrah for both boys and girls. Boys should wear Thobes, that do not drag down( has to be above the ankles), Girls must wear long clothing (Abaya/Jilbaab).Their hijab must cover their hair, neck and chest. 
 
 
Warnings:
 
Three warnings will be given for unacceptable conduct. An oral warning will be followed by two writtens ones. If the improper conduct continues, a suspension and eventual expulsion will follow.
