Course Description

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ

Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an and indeed, We will be its guardian. [Al Hijr:9]

 
Ibn Umar Islamic Centre would like to announce that we will be starting a Full-Time Hifdh Program.
 
This program combines Tahfeedh (memorization) with Tajweed (beautifying the recitation) and Itqaan (perfection), while at the same time developing a student’s Arabic language skills and understanding of the Qur’an. We also will be teaching students the different sciences in Islam.
 
 
 

EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM

 

  • Qur’an memorization with Tajweed and Itqaan.
  • Al Qaida Al Nooraniya
  • Tafsir (meaning and explanation of the Qur’an)
  • Arabic language
  • Aqeedah
  • Fiqh
  • Adhkar
  • Hadith

*The language of instruction is English

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Read and write in Arabic.
  • Memorize the Qur'an & Mutoons
  • Have knowledge in different sciences in Islam

Overview of the course

Readings and Activities:
This course will require readings from the textbook, viewing lectures and materials related to the course, participation in discussion forums and activities, a weekly mini-quiz and final exam.

Participation:
Participation is crucial in enhancing the learning environment. All students are expected to be active participants in group discussions at least one time per week. Participation is encouraged and could be as simple as asking question, answering questions asked by the instructor, reading the text to the instructor that will explain it and engage in discussions on topics presented by the instructor.
