If it is said to you Al-Waastiyyah (the middle path), then search for that which is automatically reported from Prophet ﷺ.

By Allah Al-Waastiyyah (the middle path) is not to water down the Religion.

Nor is Al-Waastiyyah (the middle path) spread to the people’s religion that they find convenient for themselves.

That which is sought by those that are listening.

Al-Waastiyyah (the middle path) is what is automatically reported from Prophet ﷺ.

If you intend Al-Waastiyyah (the middle path) then search for the sunnah. And wherever you may find the sunnah and you are firmly established on it, then you are a waasat’ee (one that follows the middle path).

Even if they say about you, that you are harsh and extreme.
