It is not upon us to place importance upon the satisfaction of the atheist! Sheikh Saud Al-Khalaf

It is not upon us to place importance upon the satisfaction of the atheist!

O’ my brothers, it is not upon us to place importance upon the satisfaction of the atheist with Allāh’s Power and His Lordship. Rather, it is upon us to make apparent the authentic proofs and evidence, and to establish the burden of proof. And if he accepts, that is his share (of fate) and if he denies, and from that we ask Allāh for safety and protection from that is his allotment of evil and this is a proof of the shaytaan’s (the devil’s) dominance over him.

Indeed, the atheist, in reality, the one that rejects the power of Allāh تبارك وتعالى and rejects the clear proofs and evidences that are clear within himself and around him and above him and under him and to his right and to his left. If he rejects all of this, then this form of rejection is in reality, in the (same) form of the rejection of Pharaoh. Meaning he does not want, he does not love, he does not desire while in the depths of himself (he) affirms.

And the rejection of Pharaoh is in this form, where he affirmed in the depth of himself. And Allāh تبارك وتعالى says about Pharaoh after Allāh made clear to him the signs.

He said,

“And they belied them (those ayat) wrongfully and arrogantly, though their ownselves were convinced thereof [i.e. those (ayat) are from Allah, and Musa (Moses) is the Messenger of Allah in truth, but they disliked to obey Musa (moses), and hated to believe in his message of monotheism]. so see what was the end of the mufsidun (disbelievers, disobedient to Allah, evil-doers, liars.)”⁵⁷

So it is incumbent upon us to know that with some of the atheists, their rejection is in the form of stubbornness, and arrogance. Like Pharaoh and Haamaan and Nimrood and those who are like them.

This disease had bedazzled them, this arrogance they were in, as they did not want to surrender themselves to Allāh

So, with that, my brothers do not place much importance with the satisfaction of this group (of people).   It is upon us that if we bring the proofs, that we present the proofs and the clear evidences and that we don’t need to fumble with the fine evidences. Why is that? Because in all things from Allāh عز وجل there is a sign.

Like it is said, in all things there is a sign that denotes His Oneness. It is not possible to look into yourself and then reject the existence of Allāh due to the fact that if you reject the existence of Allāh then you are rejecting your existence in this life. because if you reject the existence of Allāh, then it is not possible for you to exist. If Allāh does not exist, then it is not possible for you to exist. Ponder upon this and you will find clear proofs and plain evidences, following the fitrāh (natural disposition to believe in Allāh) that Allāh has put in the hearts of His slaves, to acknowledge Him and His Oneness.

Similarly, Allāh said,

“So set you (O’ Muhammad ﷺ) your face towards the religion of pure Islamic Monotheism Hanifa (worship none but Allah Alone) Allah’s Fitrah (i.e. Allah’s Islamic Monotheism), with which He has created mankind. No change let there be in Khalq-illah (i.e. the Religion of Allah Islamic Monotheism), that is the straight religion, but most of men know not.”⁵⁹

In that case, do not place much importance on their satisfaction, just mention the proofs than turn away from them. Because talking to them and arguing with them is a fruitless discussion, there is no benefit in it. Because their intention is not knowing the truth. Their intentions are not knowing the truth and following it, their only intention is to oppose the truth and to foster doubts in it and to propagate doubts around it. This is their intention.

Allāh said,

“And if they argue with you (as regards the slaughtering of the sacrifices), say; “Allāh knows best of what you do.”⁶¹

And He said,
“Say (O’ Muhammad ﷺ to these polytheists, pagans, etc.) “Who gives you provision from the heavens and the earth?” Say: “Allāh, And verily, (either) we or you are rightly guided or in a plain error ”⁶³

Say (O Muhammad ﷺ to these polytheists, pagans, etc.) “You will not be asked about our sins, nor shall we be asked of what you do.”⁶⁵

Say: “Our Lord will assemble us all together (on the Day of Resurrection), then He will judge between us with truth. And He is the (Most Trustworthy) All-Knowing Judge.”⁶⁷

Also He said,

“Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, name the angels with female names.”⁶⁹

“Therefore withdraw (O’ Muhammad ﷺ) from him who turns away from Our Reminder (this Quran) and desires nothing but the life of this world.”⁷

They have desires and intents so leave them and their intents and their desires. If Allāh wills He will guide them, therefore do not tire yourself with these people, do not tire yourself with these people. Rather fulfill your duty, if it is within your ability, to spread the proofs and to make it apparent. Because guidance is not in your hands, no matter how great the evidences (you bring) or how powerful your delivery may be, it is not in your hands.

Allāh said to His Prophet ﷺ,

It may be that you (O’ Muhammad ﷺ) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism]⁷⁷

If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility.⁷⁹

“And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Beneficent (Allāh), but they turn away therefrom.”⁸¹
